I was born at Happylands Farm, Culworth, and lived there until my marriage to John in 1971 at Culworth church. In 1977 we returned to the parish to live at Blackbird Hill Farm, which has belonged to my husband’s family since 1923, and have farmed this and other land in the parish since then. Our two children attended Culworth School and now three of our grandchildren. I joined the Parish Council in 2015 to help preserve our rural community as a place to both live and work.
